UAE environmental management company Bee'ah has added Ducati electric mobile waste collection units to the fleet of its waste collection and management division Tandeef.

The one seater vehicles, which will operate in Sharjah’s residential areas, are capable of handling almost 200 kilograms of weight. ‘Shed style’ charging stations for the electric vehicles will be installed in the communities where they operate.

The new electric vehicles are the first it their kind in the UAE, and are a further addition the company’s plans to operate an entire fleet of clean energy vehicles. In 2018, Bee’ah became the first company in the Middle East to order Tesla’s electric semi-trucks.

“Bee’ah aims for its entire fleet to run on clean energy over the next few years,” said Khaled Al Huraimel, Bee’ah Group CEO. “This new fleet furthers the company’s sustainability agenda by adopting an eco-friendly solution and cementing its commitment to reduce carbon emissions in order to support Bee’ah’s goal of improving air quality in the UAE."
