ServiceMarket research reveals most expensive countries when it comes to shipping contents

Top ten destinations UAE residents are moving to
Kerala, India ... country topped the list for moving requests. 

For the third year in a row India has proven to be the most popular destination for UAE residents to move to, according to ServiceMarket.

More than 17 percent of all international moving requests on ServiceMarket came from UAE residents looking to relocate to India.

The International Migrant Stock 2019, a dataset released by the Population Division of the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs, revealed there are an estimated 3.3 million Indians living in the UAE.

Over 60 percent of UAE residents moved to just ten countries, according to the analysis.

India was followed by the UK (10.9 percent) and the USA (7.1 percent), both of which have been on the list of top three international destinations since 2015.

Other popular countries include Canada (6.38 percent), Pakistan (4.12 percent), Saudi Arabia (3.94 percent), Lebanon (3.33 percent), Australia (3.12 percent), Egypt (2.65 percent) and Germany (2.22 percent).

The USA proved to be the most expensive destination to ship to. Based on the average price of shipping the contents of a two-bedroom apartment, it would cost between AED21,000 and AED22,000 to ship contents by sea to America.

This was closely followed by Canada (AED20,000 – AED21,000) and the UK and Germany (both between AED16,000 and AED17,000).

In terms of the least expensive, that fell to Egypt (AED10,000 – AED15,000) and India (AED11,000 to AED12,000).
