The service allows customers to request any items that weigh a maximum of 7 kg and fit in the 32x32x32 box
Careem has announced the launch of a new service called ‘Order Anything’, in which customers can order and have any item delivered by their captains, it was announced on Tuesday.
The service, which is an evolution of the previously existing Careem Box, allows customers to request any items that weigh a maximum of 7 kg and fit in the 32x32x32 box.
‘Order Anything’ has a starting fare of AED 8 and offers two options through the Careem Now app: ‘Pick and Drop’, in which captains can pick up an item and deliver it to customers, or ‘Shop and Drop’, in which captains can shop for any item on the customers behalf, up to AED 350.
“Order Anything’ was developed as a part of a careem scheme to offer extensive on-demand delivery services to its customers, allowing for ease of their pick up, drop off and shopping needs,” said Gheed Elmakkaoui, general manager at Careem UAE.
“Careem continues to find opportunities to enhance the customer’s experience and therefore decided to make changes to the current Careem Box service in order to be able to offer a more comprehensive on-demand service,” Elmakkaoui added. “As it states in the name, ‘Order Anything’ delivers to any destination within the city of Dubai.”
According to Careem, the service allows a customer to dictate what they need to have picked up and where, and provides the location necessary.
A comment option is also available for the customer to communicate with the driver and list the items to be purchased on their behalf.
