Etihad said that eligible Etihad Guest members redeeming Etihad Credit will automatically receive the bonus miles within four weeks of their credit being issued
Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways has updated its Etihad Credit offering by providing an additional bonus of up to 5,000 Etihad guest miles depending on the booked cabin class amid the travel disruptions caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the airline has announced.
In a statement, Etihad said that eligible Etihad Guest members redeeming Etihad Credit will automatically receive the bonus miles within four weeks of their credit being issued.
Guests who are not yet members of Etihad Guest can also claim their bonus miles by applying online.
Etihad Credit allows customers to cancel their flights and use the value as credit to rebook their trip until July 31, 2021, for any ticket, fare type an d destination. Far difference from the original ticket prices will be charged.
Like the rest of the UAE’s airlines, Etihad suspended all its flights in and out of the country on March 24.
In response, it launched Etihad Credit., which it said “will provide maximum flexibility and ensures guests that need to travel, do so safely and conveniently.”
“Now, more than ever, there is a global effort to care for one another and halt the spread of Covid-19 and under these challenging circumstances,” said Robin Kamark, the chief commercial officer of Etihad Aviation Group. “Etihad Credit is our way of helping to relieve some of the unnecessary burden many of our customers are facing.”
