British Embassy in Oman said there has been high demand for the flight
UK expats in Oman looking to return home have been asked to register for a flight to London on May 18.
Oman Air will operate the one-way flight if there are sufficient tickets sold, the UK’s Foreign Office said in an update on its website.
If it gets sufficient numbers to operate the service, Oman Air will fly to London Heathrow on May 18, departing Muscat at 01:50.
“The cut-off date to register interest with Oman Air is 13 May. If there is not sufficient interest, Oman Air will not operate the flight,” the UK Foreign Office said.
In comments on its Facebook page, the UK embassy in Oman said the flight is not limited to British nationals. It also said that "the flight has been in high demand and, as such, is likely to run full or close-to-full to London".
Those interested should email Oman Air or Whatsapp (or call): +968 9595 1000 (09:00-14:00 daily).
Oman suspended all international flights on Sunday March 29 and land borders are closed.
