Abdulmajid Koutrach's wife and two sons returned on repatriation flight from Canada

Etihad Airways reunites UAE family, dad meets newborn son

Abdulmajid Koutrach welcomed his wife Farah Oubed and son Adam off the repatriation flight from Canada to Abu Dhabi earlier this month.

Etihad Airways has helped reunite a family in the UAE who have been apart for over four months as a result of the Covid-19 global lockdown.

Abdulmajid Koutrach welcomed his wife Farah Oubed and son Adam off the repatriation flight from Canada to Abu Dhabi earlier this month. There was another special arrival waiting to meet Abdulmajid – his newborn son Ahmad.

He said: “I am truly grateful to the UAE Government and Etihad Airways for bringing my precious family back to our home in the UAE. It was very hard to be away from them for so long due to the coronavirus crisis and I’m the happiest man alive to see my beautiful wife Farah and our oldest son Adam again, and especially to meet my new son Ahmad for the very first time.”

The family, who have been UAE residents for more than ten years, were granted approval to return to the country and travelled on the Etihad Airways flight EY140 from Toronto to Abu Dhabi.
