Dubai flight makes emergency landing after pregnant passenger goes into labour

The airline said the Filipina woman, who was 34 weeks pregnant, had medical clearance from a doctor stating she was fit to travel

A flight from Dubai to Manila was forced to make an emergency landing in Thailand after a pregnant passenger went into labour.

The Philippine Airlines flight, carrying 294 passengers on a repatriation flight, landed at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International airport on Saturday after the pregnant woman started to experience labour pains.

The woman was met by a doctor on arrival at Bangkok and brought hospital, where she later gave birth.

The flight later continued to Manila, where it landed a midday.

The airline said the Filipina woman, who was 34 weeks pregnant, had medical clearance from a doctor stating she was fit to travel.
