Dubai Harbour has revealed a new, 1,100-berth marina with a dedicated 180-berth superyacht facility, exclusive yacht club and helicopter pads.
The official reveal for the development situated near Palm Jumeirah will take place at the Dubai International Boat Show (DIBS), which starts on February 26 and ends on March 2.
By 2020, at least 780 berths are expected to be ready for handover.
The wider Dubai Harbour development boasts luxury residences and hotels, shops, restaurants, cafés and even a lighthouse.
It is meant to strengthen Dubai’s status as a maritime hub.
As for the marina, it comprises three bays including the harbour marina on the western side, which will feature most of the area’s restaurants and cafés, while the bay marina on the eastern side will boast the dedicated superyacht facility housing 180 berths and a helipad with two landing platforms. A smaller palm view marina is located on the northern side. For all the latest travel news from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
