Spanish Barceló Hotel Group has been appointed operator of the first waterfront five-star resort on Al Marjan Island.

The 500-room hotel, which will open in the third quarter of 2021, is the flagship waterfront destination by Marjan, the master-developer of freehold properties in Ras Al Khaimah.The all-inclusive resort will include a beachfront space, an extensive selection of exclusive F&B outlets, meeting rooms, a pre-function space, swimming pools, and spas, among others.

“The new hotel is another milestone in the evolution of Al Marjan Island and its broader contribution to the hotel and leisure offering in Ras Al Khaimah,” said Abdullah Al Abdooli, CEO of Marjan. “Barceló Hotel Group is renowned for its superior quality of product and customer service and their latest addition in Ras Al Khaimah will further enhance Al Marjan Island’s hospitality offering.”

Currently, Al Marjan Island has over 1,600 operational five-star hotel keys, including Rixos Hotels, Hilton Hotels & Resorts and Accor Hotels brands, and more than 2,000 residential units including Bab Al Bahar residential and Pacific by Select Group.
