Global platform for halal-friendly accommodation, Halal Booking, has made its highest ever monthly bookings at over $4 million in June 2019.
The company’s previous highest monthly bookings totalled $3.2 million.
CEO Elnur Seyidli said sales for July are expected to be higher.
“We are very excited to have broken our record for the highest amount of sales made in one calendar month. We have had a strong start to July, so we are expecting that sales for July will be even higher.
“We are delighted to report these milestones, despite challenging trading conditions in two major markets, with Brexit uncertainty in the UK, and the stark economic slowdown in Turkey,” he said.
The company which was set up in 2009 is forecasting total sales of $35 million in 2019, marking a 60% growth since 2018, which had also witnessed a 70% rise from 2017.
UK-based HalalBooking boasts over 300,000 customers from over 84 countries, and is currently finalising a pre-series A investment round at a $50 million valuation. For all the latest travel news from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
