The budget airline operated three weekly flights to Salalah between July 2 and September 7, 2019
Oman’s low cost airline Salam Air has launched four weekly flights from Abu Dhabi to Muscat.
The 9 AM flights from Muscat International Airport (MCT) will take-off every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, arriving at Abu Dhabi International Airport at 10:20 AM, with return flights taking off from Abu Dhabi at 11:05 AM, and arriving in Muscat at 12:05 PM local time.
“Muscat is one of the most popular destinations among UAE citizens and residents, and these four new flights will give them new convenient options to visit Muscat,” commented the chief commercial officer at Abu Dhabi Airports, Maarten De Groof.
The new flights are expected to contribute to the growth of Abu Dhabi’s tourism industry, De Groof said.
Salam Air operated three weekly flights between Abu Dhabi and Oman’s Salalah between July 2 and September 7, 2019.
In August, Times of Oman claimed Salam Air is in talks with the Special Economic Zone Authority of Duqm to potentially launch flights between Muscat and the port town located on the coast of the Al Wusta Governorate.
The current distance between Duqm and Muscat is 536 kilometres and takes over five-and-a-half hours to drive.
