Emaar Hospitality has closed bookings at a further three hotels in Dubai as impact of the coronavirus continues unabated.
The Address Skyview, Address Dubai Mall and Palace Downtown had all closed their doors to new customers until May 31, with bookings on the respective websites currently show no availability up to that date.
A spokesperson for Emaar Hospitality Group told Arabian Business: “Emaar Hospitality Group cannot comment on rumours and speculation, however, we can confirm that we are consolidating our business to specific hotels and locations based on dates and demands, in order to maximise guest experience; whilst we carry out essential maintenance and renovation works across select hotels.”
It was revealed earlier this month that Emaar had temporarily halted bookings at three hotels, Address Fountain Views, Vida Creek Harbour and Vida Emirates Hills.
The UAE has implemented a number of measures in a bid to curb the spread of coronavirus, including banning all foreigners, except diplomats, from travelling into the country, while all restaurants and cafes were ordered to close, except for deliveries, on Monday.
On Sunday, Emaar announced that all staff were being instructed to work from home.
There are currently 198 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the UAE, including two reported deaths. For all the latest travel news from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
