Trident lands global distribution deal

A new distribution deal with Inmarsat is “is a triumph for Jebel Ali Free Zone against other distribution hubs in Europe,” says Salim Rais.

Dubai-based Trident Freight was today (Jan 29) at the centre of a global success story, when it was announced that it had secured the global distribution rights for Inmarsat’s ‘Regional BGAN’ satellite modems. Trident, which is the international forwarding arm of Rais Hassan Saadi, expects to generate ‘millions of dollars’ of annual freight value through its logistics management centre in Jebel Ali Free Zone. “This is a triumph for Jebel Ali Free Zone against other distribution hubs in Europe,” said Salim Rais, director of Rais Hassan Saadi Group. “It confirms the global leadership of the zone and the vital role it plays in the economic development of the UAE.”Regional BGAN is a broadband satellite communications system covering 99 countries in the Middle East, North and Central Africa, Europe and the Indian Subcontinent.
