Hospitality group will open a hotel on Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Island in 2018, with further plans to expand in Jeddah, Muscat and Salalah
Rixos Hotels, a Turkish hospitality group, will open its new flagship hotel in Dubai’s Jumeirah Beach Residence next year, it announced on Monday.
The Rixos Jumeirah Beach Dubai will be part of the Al Fattan Group’s Crystal Towers.
The company will open another hotel on Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Island in 2018.
It already operates two hotels in the UAE - Rixos The Palm Dubai and Rixos Bab Al Bahr, Ras Al Khaimah.
Erkan Yildirim, senior vice president of operations, Rixos Hotels said it decided to open its second hotel in Dubai as it is the most popular tourism destination in the Middle East and increases the market share.
The company is also expanding in newer markets such as Jeddah, Muscat, Salalah and Maldives.
“Oman is another potential tourism destination and, in my opinion, Rixos Hotels will flourish in a country with such beautiful surroundings and scenic landscapes,” Yildirim said.
Established in 2000, Rixos Hotels has 27 hotels in countries such as Turkey, the UAE, Croatia, Switzerland, Egypt and Kazakhstan. It expects to add 32 new projects globally by 2018.For all the latest travel news from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
