Attack left a 25-year-old Emirati dead and two others critically injured
Dubai Police has reportedly arrested two brothers of the prime suspect in an armed clash between two groups in Dubai last week.
The sword attack took place in the Al Warqa area of Dubai and left a 25-year-old Emirati dead and two others critically injured.
The police have since revealed that an Indian domestic help informed them about the clash at around 1.20am on Monday, reported the Khaleej Times.
Police said the prime suspect, referred to in the article as Kh.D., tricked the victim who died and two of his friends into meeting him to settle a dispute they had had since childhood.
Kh.D. dragged the deceased and his friends to his house in Al Warqa, where he and 12 friends poured acid on the victims and attacked them with swords and knives, the newspaper said.
The two suspects were later arrested in Al Ain.
A Dubai court reportedly acquitted Kh.D. of a murder charge just two months ago, on the grounds of lack of evidence.
