Indian brand is planning to add 14 branches to its 10 existing outlets
UAE-based Asian restaurant, Kulcha King, is planning to open 14 global branches by 2016.
Founded in 2010, the restaurant became renowned as the only one in the country to serve Amritsari Kulcha, a North Indian specialty dish.
In the last five years, Kulcha King has opened 10 branches across Dubai and Sharjah and has a combined annual turnover of AED27 million ($7.35 million).
“I think it will be tough to not develop an affinity for Indian cuisine, as it is among the top five cuisines of the world. Our mission has been to have a global presence right from the beginning, and we are steadily working towards that,” said Vicky Sethi, managing director of King Group Hospitality, the group behind the Kulcha King brand.
In addition to the global expansion, the brand is opening 52 express models by 2018. It’s also expanding to retail, though it did not give any further information on the plans. For all the latest gourmet news from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
