Football player collapsed on the pitch during regular practice session - Al Nasr club.
Striker Salem Saad of UAE football club side Al Nasr has died after suffering a massive heart attack at training, the club's website reported on Thursday.
The club said that the 31-year-old collapsed on the pitch during a regular practice session and was immediately rushed to the nearby Rashid Hospital but died shortly after arrival.
According to The National newpaper, Salem Saad, who joined Al Nasr in June, was captain of Al Shabab when they won the league title last year.
His father, Saad Al Abadla, also collapsed and died on the pitch playing football for Al Shabab when he was in his 1940s.
