To give vouchers to new car insurance policy buyers

UAE company offers free rides on Careem

UAE-based ServiceMarket.com, an online platform for car insurance policies, has tied up with Careem to offer free rides to buyers of new car insurance policies.

The company is offering benefits under two plans with the basic plan, given on all comprehensive car insurance policies, offering new insurance holders, whose car is undergoing repairs a $68.12 (AED250) voucher to be used on Careem services for five days.

The premium option, offered on Qatar Insurance policies, gives customers a voucher of $218 (AED800) to be used on Careem services for eight days while the car is being repaired. However, the premium option come at an additional fee of $38.15 (AED140).

Bana Shomali, founder, ServiceMarket.com, said: “Now our customers can have the peace of mind if they are ever left without their car after an accident. They can use Careem’s services completely free of charge and will not have to worry about driving for a while.”

Aura Lunde, general manager, Careem UAE, said: “We are all about taking the hassle out of getting around town, staying safe and using our technology to match customers with a car when they need one. What better time to help them out when they are stuck without a car."

Frederik Bisbjerg, executive vice president, Qatar Insurance Company, added, “We know how stressful a car accident can be for our customers and feel this new product can help release some of the tensions following an accident. Now our customers don't have to worry about getting a rental car to drive themselves but can rely on the professional driver services offered by Careem."

The promotion ends on June 12.
