UAE condemns terrorist attack in Orlando

Saudi Ambassador to the US said international community must continue to work together to bring and end to the "senseless acts of violence and terror"

The UAE has condemned the terrorist attack which took place last night in the US city of Orlando, Florida State, killing 50 people and wounded others.

In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation announced its solidarity with the US, reiterating its condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, according to news agency WAM.

The statement also reiterated the ministry's firm stance on the need for concerted efforts of the international community to eliminate the scourge of terrorism which is against all ethical and human values.

The ministry extended sincere condolences and sympathies to the US government, people and the families of the victims.

The Saudi Ambassador to the US Abdullah Al-Saud said the kingdom condemned the attack "in the strongest terms".

"We stand with the American people at this tragic time. We pray for the recovery and the healing of all those injured in the attack, and we will continue our work with the United States and our partners in the international community for an end to these senseless acts of violence and terror," he said.
