The UAE Consulate in Los Angeles has warned Emiratis currently in the US to avoid the protests that are currently sweeping the nation following Donald Trump’s presidential election win.

UAE’s Consulate-General in LA, Abdulla Alsaboosi, using the twitter account @UAEinLA, said Emiratis in the US should exercise caution and avoid areas where demonstrations are being held where there is a chance of violence and risk of attack.

The consulate said that verbal and physical attacks on foreigners have increased significantly in recent days.
