Fuel prices in the UAE will increase slightly in September, the UAE Ministry of Energy announced on Sunday.

The cost of Super 98 fuel will increase to AED1.78, up from AED1.73 in August, Special 95 will rise to AED1.64 from AED1.62 and E-Plus 91 will rise to AED1.57 from AED1.55.

The only fuel to decrease in price is diesel, which drops four fils to AED1.72.

The pricing policy, which was introduced last year, tracks the increase in the price of Brent crude in the past month which has risen to $49.92 in the past week.

The slight increase follows a drop in price for August, which was the first decline in five months.
