The UAE health minister has signed a resolution enabling healthcare to be provided from the ministry’s emergency departments across the country.

The resolution, signed by Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Owais, states that healthcare services will be provided at the ministry’s emergency units “to the beneficiaries who hold insurance policies, with their insurance companies paying for the cost of services,” the official satte news agency WAM said in a statement.

The resolution also stipulates that the insurance company will be notified of the treatment within 24 hours of the service provided, and a claim issued covering all services provided to the beneficiary, the report said.
