A member of the UAE’s military has died in Yemen, the General Command of the country’s Armed Forces announced on Tuesday.

Rashid Ahmed Abdullah Al Habsi was martyred during the Saudi-led Operation Restoring Hope in the Arabian Peninsula country.

The National reported that the 34-year-old lieutenant was a father of five, and had been deployed in Yemen for two months. No details about his death have been released.

The serviceman’s body was flown back to Al Bateen Executive Airport in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday evening, where it was greeted by a special military ceremony.
