UAE's Bloom hires new chief to drive education growth

Bloom Education, the education division of Bloom Holding, has announced the appointment of Susie Ballantyne, a former senior executive with Dubai-based GEMS Education, as director of educational development.

Starting in December, Ballantyne will oversee Bloom Education's new initiatives including delivery of new schools and nurseries.

Ballantyne has previously worked in public and private education domains, as well as with education ministries and curriculum developers.

Prior to joining Bloom Education, she has been an education consultant with the Dubai-based Daymer Group, and senior manager - knowledge at GEMS Education.

Henning Fries, CEO, Bloom Education, said: "The appointment of Susie Ballantyne is part of Bloom Education's continuing efforts to develop a robust educational portfolio that delivers high quality learning and sets global benchmarks in the education sphere."

Ballantyne added: "I will focus on driving educational development and creating innovative opportunities to enhance Bloom Education's portfolio and help the organization achieve quality strategic outcomes."
