Contract marks Depa's first win in Syria, includes fit-out of 338-room luxury hotel

UAE's Depa wins $19.6m Syria hotel deal

Depa, the UAE interior design contractor that fitted out the
Burj Khalifa, won a contract to fit out the Yasmeen Rotana Hotel in Damascus,
Syria, in a deal valued at AED72m ($19.6m).

Depa
received the contract from Bena Properties, the real estate development and
investment arm of Cham Holding, the company said in a statement to Nasdaq Dubai
on Wednesday.

The deal, Depa’s first in Syria, includes the fit-out of 338
rooms and suites and public areas including the main lobby and restaurants.

Work will commence in January, and is slated for completion
in the first quarter of 2012.
