UAE’s inflation rate jumped to 2.3 percent in January, up from 1.24  percent from last year, according to the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority.

The latest figures show that rising costs in medical care, education, fuel and miscellaneous goods services were the main drivers behind the increase in prices.

Medical costs rose by 5.66 percent year-on-year, while education rose 4.99 percent and transportation costs were up by 4.36 percent.
