UAE has stopped issuing visa on arrival for expatriates residing in Qatar on a residence visa, state news agency WAM has announced.
On Monday, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain along with Egypt severed diplomatic ties with Qatar over its relationship with Iran and support for terror groups such as Muslim Brotherhood and ISIS.
The three Gulf countries have given 14 days, starting Monday, to Qatari residents and visitors to leave their borders, while Qatari diplomats were told to leave in 48 hours.
Travellers holding Qatari passports are already prohibited from travelling to, or transiting through, the UAE. Similarly, Saudi, UAE and Bahraini nationals have been banned from travelling to or staying in Qatar, or transiting through its territories.
