Company will partner with Liwa Trading, will open four UAE outlets this year
group M&Co has signed a deal with Abu Dhabi’s Liwa Trading Enterprises to
operate its brand in the Gulf.
Scottish retailer will launch four UAE stores in the next nine months, with
plans to open another 24 outlets across the GCC countries in the near future.
company, which is Scotland's largest independent fashion retailer, will debut
in the region with a store in the Dubai Mall this May, followed by a second
outlet in Dubai Marina Mall in June.
Dhabi branches will also launch later in the year.
the firm’s international franchise manager, told local media the Middle East and
UAE provided the “perfect” opportunity for the brand’s expansion, given the
clothing chain’s family appeal.
He said the
foreign branches would focus on premium products and quite quality kids ranges,
in a bid to tap the opportunities of the market.
Enterprises, the retail arm of UAE-based Al Nasser Holdings, holds the
franchise rights for a number of UK clothing brands including BHS and Tammy.

Klein and Canadian lingerie store LaSenza also on its books.
