UK FM company expands into Egypt

As part of its strategic development, UK-based Key FM has expanded its operations to Egypt.

As part of its strategic development, UK-based Key FM has expanded its operations to Egypt.

The newly formed company, Key MENA (Middle East and North Africa) chose Egypt as a starting point for two reasons.

"The market is relatively untouched and whilst this creates a challenge in terms of awareness and education, it offers an opportunity to offer real facilities management with the potential that it brings," said Stan Mitchell of Key FM.

"There is regeneration that is going on within the Egyptian market in which we have an opportunity to influence at the right stage of development. There also appears to be a desire to get it right first time and learn some of the lessons that are currently being experienced in other parts of the region," he added.

Key MENA will deliver the same services the UK company has to offer: cosulting, management services, interim management and project management.

Mitchell confirmed that further expansion plans into the rest of the Middle East were already underway.

"We have made several visits to various GCC countries and will be establishing ourselves in the region before the end of the year," he said.

Key MENA has signed up an agent to represent the company in the Middle East.
