Surveys by Nakheel show that most visitors to Dubai are originate from the UK.

Real estate development company Nakheel has released the results of two surveys conducted in April to examine the importance of tourism to Dubai and how new property developments are contributing to the emirate's economy.

The results show that most visitors to Dubai originate from the UK. The survey also found that two thirds of respondents would be enticed to visit Dubai by high-profile developments such as Nakheel's The Palm.

A total of 46% also said they believed Dubai's construction projects were vital to the success of the emirate's tourism industry.

The second survey was conducted in the UAE by TNS with 1000 Dubai residents aged from 16-59 years old. A third of all respondents in this study saw architectural tourism as very important to the future growth of the country's economy.
