United Engineering Construction (UNEC) has won a US $109 million (AED400 million) contract for construction and MEP work on Schon Business Park. Work will begin 28 September 2008 and is scheduled to be completed in 18 months time.

Under the contract, awarded by Schon Properties, UNEC will be responsible for all of the MEP work as well as the hard and soft landscaping, superstructure and construction work on the basements. The commercial office complex will include retail and office space and covers 46,000m2. The total build area is more than 107,000m2.

The business park is being built in order to supply more space for multi-national and start-up businesses looking for offices and work space in Dubai. It has been designed as a self-contained environment. UNEC has previously worked on Tameer Palace, Dunes Village and the Dubai Silicon Oasis.
