Dubai-based developer will issue three tenders next month for key projects
Union Properties is likely put its three newest projects out to tender next month, a spokesman told Construction Week.
The firm is launching two new phases of its Green community project next to Motor City off Emirates Road. Phase one will contain 78 new townhouses on a 30,170m2 plot at phase one of the project and 130 units at phase two on a 41,460m2 site.
The phase two units will contain 74 townhouses and 56 apartments in a series of six-storey blocks. Phase two will also include a 1,265m2 residental area and a 1,607m2 community facility. Tenders for both will be issued at the same time.
The company will also float tenders for The Ribbon - a new strip mall planned for Motor City with 11 retail units and 16 new food & beverage outlets.
It will be an "inter-connected strip comprising of four commercial buildings which will be housed between Motor City and Arabian Ranches".
Union Properties has said that it expects the mall will not just service Motor City residents, but also neighbouring populations in the surrounding area.
Oh for god's sake AB; THE GREENS is an Emaar apartment complex on the Shk Zayed Rd. THE GREEN COMMUNITY is a residential (mostly villas) development by UP in two locations - DIP and MotorCity. Residents of both are totally fed up with these very different places being muddled up by people who ought to know better (e.g. editors of magazines and news services based in Dubai itself).
I presume they are salvaging the material from the half completed autodrome office and hotel projects that are rusting away around motor city.
yes you would think that journalists would check the facts first. And The Green Community is in DIP not ' next to Motor City'
Alan, there is a Green Community at DIP and a Green Community at Motor City. I guess the developer decided to give up on original names.
