Facility shut after operating without required BATE license
A tourism centre in Northern Bahrain has been shut down by the Public Prosecution following a report by the Bahrain Authority for Tourism and Exhibitions (BATE).
The facility was operating without a required BATE license, Capital Advocate General Nawaf Al-Awadhi told Bahrain News Agency.
He said the closing was coordinated with BATE and the General Directorate for Criminal Investigation and Forensic Evidence.
Authorities are investigating the identity of the facility’s owner in order to refer him to trial, but no further information was given.
