Americans behind F45 say they expect business to break-even within 16 months
Two US expats have opened a new gym in Dubai after signing up as franchisees of the F45 fitness brand.
KC Finnegan, 38, and Travis Krug, 37, said opening a gym in the emirate "has always been a dream", having worked in the training sector for many years.
After a business trip to Australia, the Americans saw F45 in action in studios across Sydney and believed it was the perfect product for the UAE.
"From a franchisee perspective, F45 is fantastic and we’re proud to bring this brand to Dubai," they said in a statement.
"Understanding what your clients want and being able to deliver that each and every day is what sets F45 apart. F45 combines the perfect blend of dynamic workouts and technological innovation to offer the customer an easy and fulfilling solution," they said, adding that they offer two weeks free to all Dubai residents.
The US expats said opening F45 Training Dubai Marina, located at Level 1, Trident Grand Residence, Dubai Marina, did not come without its challenges including "unreasonably high rent and unrealistic landlords".
Having found the right location, the company was cash flow positive within six months and will break even at the 14-16 month mark, the statement said.
Workouts at the gym, which currently has a staff of four, are designed for completion by a wide range of fitness abilities. All of the exercises are scalable and can be modified as needed for optimum customer experience.
