Dubai's DMCC hires Turner International to oversee development which will include world's tallest commercial tower
DMCC, the Government of Dubai authority for commodities trade and enterprise, announced on Wednesday that US-based firm Turner International has been appointed to project manage the Burj 2020 District development in Dubai.
The project, which will have as its centrepiece the world's tallest commercial tower, the Burj 2020. will also include smart transport and traffic flow solutions.
The Burj 2020 District is being constructed as a direct result of customer demand in particular from large regional corporations, multi-nationals and multi-business entities, DMCC officials have said.
The appointment of Turner follows DMCC's master plan design competition announced in June. The ground breaking for the Burj 2020 District is planned for 2015, DMCC said in a statement.

Turner has previously delivered the three current tallest towers in the world including Dubai's Burj Khalifa.
