Two American retail brands are set to launch their first stores in the Middle East at the new Mirdif City Centre opening its doors to the public on Tuesday.

Fashion chain, American Eagle Outfitters, will open its first flagship store outside North America, while Pottery Barn home furnishings and Pottery Barn Kids will open in the new mall, a statement on Sunday said.

All three new shops are launched in co-operation with M.H. Alshaya Co, a leading retailer in the region, the statement said.

American Eagle Outfitters caters for men and women aged 15-to-25. The firm plans to open its second Middle Eastern store in Kuwait City on March 26.

The new Pottery Barn store will be located on the ground floor of the mall. The retailer is a well-known name in the States, even being mentioned in sitcoms like Fiends, Seinfeld and The Simpsons.

The store will offer a wedding gift registry service as well as complimentary design classes.
