US Robotics unveils Middle East reseller programme

Networking vendor US Robotics has unveiled a three-tier channel programme for second tier resellers in the Middle East with rebate levels tied to the volume of kit that second-tier partners purchase in a set timeframe.

Networking vendor US Robotics has unveiled a three-tier channel programme for second tier resellers in the Middle East with rebate levels tied to the volume of kit that second-tier partners purchase in a set timeframe.

Sumit Kumar, regional manager at US Robotics Middle East and North Africa, explained: “This alliance with our resellers will strengthen our relationship. It is important to recognise, appreciate and reward the people who sell out products. This programme will allow us to do that, as well as establish relationships with new resellers.”

Resellers participating in the new US Robotics channel programme will be segmented into three categories: platinum, gold and silver. Platinum partners must achieve a minimum quarterly sales figure and will receive 1% of the net revenue achievement. Platinum partners hitting specific targets will also benefit from the payment of special marketing development funds to them.

Gold partners will be eligible for 0.75% of their net revenue achievement with silver partners picking up 0.5%. With achievable quarterly targets for silver status, US Robotics hopes to make the programme as inclusive as possible. All partner segments will earn additional bonuses ranging from 0.5% to 1.5% on revenue derived from non-analogue products, dependent on target and sales levels.

US Robotics new channel programme is open to resellers purchasing from authorised distributors in the region. The vendor claims that its distribution partners will also benefit from the increased sales volume and partner commitment levels that the programme is expected to generate.

“This is the first time this programme is being implemented by US Robotics in the Middle East,” said Peter Blampied, sales and operations director at US Robotics EMEA. “We anticipate great results and are currently considering implementing this programme in other EMEA markets.”

“We are looking at a ‘win-win’ situation here as all parties involved will benefit from this programme. It will develop and classify the channel for US Robotics in the Middle East and we are anticipating a profitable outcome,” concluded Kumar.
