Rents in Q2 in Dubai fell by 2.5 percent on average across the city, which equates to an annualised drop of 10 percent. With greater supply as new developments such as Mudon, Nshama and Furjan come onto the market, and a population that isn't growing sufficiently to meet it, this means there is the real possibility for tenants to seek a rent decrease from their landlords as demand softens.

In this edition of Inside AB, Jeremy Lawrence and Eddie Taylor look at how this can be done, what kind of case can be made and also the hidden costs of moving that also need to be factored in.
