Manning acquitted of aiding enemy

US intelligent analyst Bradley Manning has been acquitted of the most serious charge against him in the high profile court martial against him. Manning was cleared of aiding the enemy, but found guilty on espionage, theft and computer fraud charges, with a maximum sentence of 136 years in prison. Manning had been charged for giving thousands of classified secrets to the anti-secrecy website Wikileaks, prompting supporters to hail him as a whistleblower, and opponents to condemn him as a traitor.
