Tensions impact Lebanon's finance sector

For decades, Lebanon’s banking industry has positioned itself as a hub for Middle East finance.

But that seems now to be changing, as the country’s economic prospects are causing pessimism at the rating agency Standard and Poor's, which revised its 'long and short-term' outlook for the Lebanese banking industry from "stable" to "negative".\n\nRegional analysts say the downgrade is also tied to a series of measures against the Lebanese government by Saudi Arabia and Gulf allies.\n\n(Source: Al Jazeera English YouTube channel)
