The US government has begun asking selected foreign travellers to disclose their social media activities.
The move is said to be part of Washington’s efforts to spot potential terrorist threats. The request appears on an online visa waiver application that many visitors are required to submit before travelling to the United States.\n\nThe applicants are asked to disclose their activities on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Google, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube.
