Company to deploy 4,000 employees over two years on major education project.
Vision Electro Mechanical Company (Vision), has won a prestigious $349 million contract to provide mechanical electrical and engineering work at the Princess Noura Bint Abdurrahman Girls University in Riyadh.
Awarded by main contractor Saudi Binladin Group, the deal will see Vision deploy 4,000 employees over a two-year period to carry out internal works, including supplying electrical systems, a lighting control system, a cooling and heating system and a water network and sanitation system.
"Since the beginning of the works in the University we were very keen to participate in the implementation of its electromechanical works,” said Hassan Chahine, CEO of Vision.
“The diversity of CPC [Vision’s parent] companies enabled us to carry out any construction tasks assigned to us in the most appropriate and satisfactory way that suits our clients."
Princess Noura Bint Abdurrahman Girls University is currently being built on a colossal 4 million square metre plot just outside Riyadh.
The university is scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 2012.
