Vizrt joins Dubai Men’s College

Students of the Dubai Men’s College will train on Vizrt’s 3D software as part of a new partnership agreement between the college and the Norway-based company.

Dubai Men’s College (DMC) and Vizrt Ltd. have signed a partnership agreement. According to the agreement, Vizrt will install its 3D software at DMC’s new campus to train its students in graphics solutions. The college hopes to partner with other media organisations who might be interested in using the facilities and students for their productions.

“By giving access to the same graphics software used by the biggest TV-stations and networks around the world, the students will get a real-world education which will keep them up to speed as the technology develops. They’ll learn how it works and why it is used,” Fredrik Gunnestad, director of Operations, Vizrt said. Impressed with the facilities at the new Dubai Men’s College campus, he also added that it “is comparable to any new state-of-the-art TV-station in terms of quality, placement, technical aspects and workflow.”

The Norway-based company’s deal with the college is part of the company’s plans to increase its presence in the Middle East. Vizrt has also stated that it has plans to open an office in Dubai.
