Wataniya increasing services for Kuwaiti holidays

Wataniya Airways adds two additional flights between Kuwait and Dubai to meet demand.

Watniya Airways will add two additional flights between Kuwait and Dubai to satisfy increased demand during two Kuwaiti public holidays this month.

The services, which commence on Feb.25 for Kuwait National Day, will also be available on Feb.26 for Liberation Day.

“Building this airline has been a labour of love for us and we are confident that Wataniya Airways will quickly become a new symbol of Kuwait and the Kuwaiti people,” said Abdulsalam Al Bahar, chairman and managing director of Kuwaiti carrier Wataniya Airways.

“We saw the increased demand and were pleased to have been able to supply our guests with the additional service on this special occasion to mark Kuwait’s National and Liberation days”.

The premium-class airline operates twice daily services between Kuwait and Dubai using an A320 aircraft. A second A320 is expected to arrive on Feb.26 to handle the additional services.

By 2010, the carrier, which offers business-class seats on short-haul routes, expects to have seven A320s in operation.

On Mar.1, Wataniya will launch routes to Beirut, followed by Cairo and Bahrain later this year.
