The DIFC Fitness Village is hosting more than 300 free fitness classes in association with Dubai Chamber and Technogym.

Thousands have already joined in exercises and classes which are taking place in line with the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) taking place until November 22 across the city. The space is open to participants from 07:00 – 21:00 on weekdays, 15:00 – 21:00 on Fridays and 14:00 – 21:00 on Saturdays, with activities happening at The Gate building.

Headliners include HIIT with Reform Athletica and Round 10’s specialist boxercise workouts, as well as the latest treadmills, skill bokes and conditioning equipment by Technogym, with trainers from Warehouse Gym available on site for advice.

Last week, the space featured a special appearance by Somalian-British Olympic Gold Medallist Sir Mohamed "Mo" Farah, one of the most celebrated distance runners in modern Olympic Games history.

The DIFC Fitness Village is one of five themed fitness villages taking place during DFC, which was launched by Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan to motivate physical activity and a commitment to 30 minutes of daily activity for 30 days. It is also in line with Dubai’s aim to become the world’s most active city.

The challenge encompasses activities ranging from beach cricket, cycling and football, to paddle boarding, team sports, walking and yoga, as well as many others.

Participants can track their performance on the Dubai Fitness App, which features a full schedule of events, classes and activities happening during the event. It shows over 4,000 free classes at more than 250 locations across the city.

Fitness enthusiasts can also sync the Dubai Fitness App with other top fitness apps such as Fitbit, Strava and Apple Health.
