After establishing a presence in 18 countries on four continents, international casual dining brand from Germany, Wienerwald, is entering the Middle East market.
The brand is known for its roasted chicken offerings, and has signed a lease for two franchised outlets in Dubai – one in JBR and the other in Dubai Media City. Wienerwald is said to have committed AED10 million ($2.7 million) in investments to develop its brand in the region.
“Casual dining is a concept that is ever-so popular in Dubai. People enjoy going out to malls and food courts or restaurants. As such, thematic dining is highly sought after. We encourage people to come for the food and stay for the ambience. Germany has a lot to offer, and as far as legacy food brands go, Wienerwald embodies the true essence of Germany,” said Wienerwald MENA’s project director, Jurgen Ellenbeck.
“Our secret is - crispy, golden skin, succulent meat, seasoned with a unique blend of herbs and spices – Wienerwald has been an expert griller since 1955. Our customers love the unique flavor of the world’s most famous roast chicken. It isn‘t without good reason that our roast chicken generates the greatest part of our revenue,” said Ellenbeck.
