Pakistani national is sentenced to three month in jail, followed by deportation, for sexual assault
A Pakistani worker has been found guilty of molesting a 13-year-old girl during a concert in Dubai.
The Dubai Criminal Court has sentenced the 22 year old to three month in jail, followed by deportation, on a sexual assault charge, reported The National.
He was also referred to the court of misdemeanours for consuming alcohol without a license.
The teenage girl, of Indian nationality, was attending a concert with her family on October 16 in Al Mamzar when the incident happened.
She took her father’s phone and stepped away from her family to take photos of the band playing when the convicted assaulted her.
“There was a large crowd and we were all enjoying our time but about 10 minutes after my daughter took my phone, she returned crying,” the girl’s father told The National.
“She said he stuck his body to hers and forced her to touch his private parts, after which she panicked and ran away from him,” he added.
He then went looking for the man with his daughter, found him, restrained him with the help of other men, and called the police.
According to the police, the man was found drunk when arrested.
The offender admitted to consuming alcohol without a license but denied sexual assault.
