Fadi Ghandour finally stepped down as CEO of Aramex in 2012, the logistics firm he founded 30 years ago. New CEO Hussein Hachem has now taken on the reins, while Ghandour remains as vice chairman. Aramex is one of the great entrepreneurial success stories of the Arab world — founded in Jordan, the outfit took on the giants of the global express industry, such as DHL and FedEx. Ghandour is a founding partner of Maktoob.com; the world’s largest Arab online community which was acquired by Yahoo!, is a member of the board of Abraaj Capital, is a founding board member of Endeavor Jordan and serves on the advisory board of the Suliman S Olayan School of Business at the American University of Beirut.
Aramex, which was founded by Fadi Ghandour in Jordan, is one of the great entrepreneurial success stories of the Arab world.
