World's best brains converge on UAE

Around 150 of the world's leading intellects gather in Abu Dhabi for the second Festival of Thinkers.

Around 150 of the world’s best minds have gathered in Abu Dhabi for the second festival of thinkers which begins tomorrow.

Minister of higher education and scientific research Sheikh Nahyan Mabarak Al Nahyan welcomed some of the world’s leading intellects, including 20 Nobel Laureates, state news agency Wam reported.

The gathering would contribute to boosting relations between nations in science, education and technology, and inspire UAE talent, Sheikh Nahyan said.

The festival brings together the world’s leading minds in the fields of natural science and research, medicine and public health, philosophy, law and ethics, theoretical and practical economy, information technology and business.

Organised by the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT), the festival runs from October 22-24 at the Emirates Palace Hotel.
