Lebanese artist says 'Caravan of Women' painting took 100 hours to complete
mural in the world has been unveiled in Dubai’s Gloria Hotel this week and is
to be recorded in the Guinness Book of Records.

Madi is said to cover 1700 sq m on the roof of the 8th floor of the
Sheikh Zayed Road hotel.

through the Arabian Peninsula desert with women on board, and is meant to honor
mothers, wives, daughters and sisters.

That's really impressive. However, just to set the record correctly, the largest mural in the world is in Oran, Algeria with ceramic tiles the measures up a total area of 2100++ square metre at the Oran Convention Centre. You can check it up by googling it. That said, it's still awesome to have records set in Arabia. Move forward guys !!!
What about Juan O'Gorman's 4000 sq/meter stone mosaic mural which decorates the Central Library at UNAM?
There are two painted murals in downtown Dallas,, TX. Done by Eyecon, Inc. in the '90s, they are Mass Transit 120'x 215' (25'800 sq. ft.) and The Storm, 120'x 150' (18,000 sq. ft,). Pretty sure these trump for largest.
